Introduction & Acceptance of Terms
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of all services, interfaces, and properties operated by 1520636 B.C. LTD. DBA Straight Deal ("Straight Deal," "we," "us," or "our"). These services include, but are not limited to, our website, mobile applications, software, email, social media, and any other products or services provided by us (collectively, the "Services").By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must immediately discontinue use of our Services.
Straight Deal reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time, and your continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of those modifications.
Eligibility to Sell a Vehicle
To sell a vehicle through Straight Deal, you must:
- Be the registered legal owner or have explicit legal authority to sell the vehicle.
- Provide accurate, complete, and truthful details about the vehicle, including but not limited to its condition, history, and ownership status.
- Ensure the vehicle is registered in Canada and complies with all relevant federal and provincial laws.
- Disclose any outstanding liens, leases, or financing obligations tied to the vehicle.Be at least 16 years of age.
- Straight Deal reserves the absolute right to decline any transaction at its sole discretion.
Vehicle Valuation & Offers
- Initial quotes are based on the information provided by the seller and remain valid for 7 days, provided that the vehicle's condition remains unchanged.
- A final offer is determined following an in-person inspection by an authorized Straight Deal representative.
- If the vehicle's condition is found to differ from the seller’s description, Straight Deal reserves the right to adjust the offer or withdraw it entirely.
- A quote does not constitute a legally binding contract unless and until a formal purchase agreement is signed by both parties.
Vehicle Inspection & Final Offer
- A physical inspection of the vehicle is mandatory before finalizing a purchase.
- Any undisclosed damage or material misrepresentation may result in a revised offer or transaction cancellation.
- Upon approval of the purchase by Straight Deal post-inspection, the transaction is considered final and binding.
- Sellers must furnish all requisite legal documentation, including vehicle registration and proof of ownership.
Leased & Financed Vehicles
Straight Deal may accept leased or financed vehicles under the following conditions:
- The seller must disclose any outstanding financial obligations or liens.
- The seller must provide verifiable documentation outlining the lien payout process.
- Any payments to lienholders will be made directly before ownership transfer is completed.
- If a lien cannot be cleared, Straight Deal reserves the right to cancel the transaction.
Payment & Ownership Transfer
- Payment will be made via electronic transfer, cheque, or bank wire after verification of ownership and submission of required documentation.
- Once payment is issued and ownership is legally transferred, the sale is final and irrevocable.
- Straight Deal is not responsible for any outstanding financial obligations beyond the agreed payout.
- Any fraudulent attempt to sell a vehicle, including title fraud or misrepresentation, will be reported to legal authorities.
Fraud Prevention & Seller Obligations
- Sellers are required to disclose all known defects, damages, accident history, modifications, and prior ownership discrepancies.
- Misrepresentation of any vehicle details, including odometer tampering or title fraud, will result in transaction cancellation and potential legal action.
No Warranties & Limitation of Liability
- All vehicles are purchased strictly "as-is", with no warranties or guarantees, either express or implied.
- Once a sale is completed, Straight Deal assumes no responsibility for defects, mechanical failures, or future claims related to the vehicle.
- The seller agrees to indemnify Straight Deal against any legal claims, liabilities, or financial disputes arising from the vehicle post-sale.
Right to Refuse Service
Straight Deal reserves the right to refuse service or terminate a transaction for any reason, including but not limited to:
- Suspected fraudulent activity.
- Non-compliance with required legal documentation
- Vehicles failing to meet legal or operational standards.
Seller’s Right to Cancel
- The seller may withdraw from the transaction at any time before signing the formal purchase agreement.
- Once a purchase agreement is signed, cancellation by the seller is strictly prohibited
Privacy & Data Protection
- Straight Deal collects and securely stores personal data, including names, addresses, vehicle registration details, and financial information, solely for transaction purposes.
- Personal data will not be shared with third parties except:
- As required by law.
- For fraud prevention and legal compliance.
Dispute Resolution & Governing Law
- Any disputes will first be resolved through arbitration. If arbitration fails, mediation or litigation may be pursued.
- The laws of British Columbia govern this agreement, and all legal proceedings shall be conducted within its jurisdiction.
- Sellers waive any rights to pursue class-action lawsuits against Straight Deal, limiting legal recourse to individual claims.
Trade-Ins & Special Transactions
- Straight Deal may accept trade-ins at its sole discretion, subject to a valuation and inspection process.
- Trade-in offers are based on market conditions and are not guaranteed..
Modifications & Termination of Service
- Straight Deal retains the right to modify pricing structures, policies, and these Terms at any time without prior notice.
- It is the seller’s responsibility to review and remain informed about any updates.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold Straight Deal and its affiliates harmless against any claims, damages, or disputes arising from your use of the service or violation of these terms.
Limitation of Liability
- Straight Deal does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.
- In no event shall Straight Deal be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from use of the service.
- If a vehicle mileage discrepancy exceeds 1,000 km between listing and sale completion, Straight Deal reserves the right to charge $0.20/km beyond that threshold.
Entire Agreement
- These Terms constitute the full legal agreement between the seller and Straight Deal, superseding any prior agreements or representations.
- Any waiver of terms shall not be construed as a continuing waiver.

How Do I Get Paid
We make payments via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) to ensure a secure and efficient process. Once your vehicle is dropped off or picked up, we initiate payment the same day and provide confirmation that the funds have left our account. Depending on your financial institution, the funds may take up to three business days to reflect in your account, though most customers receive their payment by the next business day.
You will also receive:
A binding Bill of Sale signed by both you and Straight Deal.
Confirmation of any lien amount to be paid off (if applicable).
A breakdown of the remaining balance to be deposited into your bank account.

How Does My Auto Loan Get Paid Off?
If you have a loan on the car that you're selling, Straight Deal will pay off the loan and deduct it from the value of our offer. Loans can take anywhere between 10-30 business days to be processed, depending on the lender.
What Documentation Is Required To Sell My Car To Straight Deal?

I Am Still Driving My Car. Does Straight Deal Allow A Variation In Mileage?
Yes, we allow up to a 1,000-km variance in mileage without impacting your offer. If the variance exceeds 1,000 km, simply inform your advisor. They’ll update the mileage or vehicle details for you to ensure everything stays accurate.
